The Book: Number The Stars by Lois Lowry

Ten-year-old Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen often think of life before the war. It's now 1943 and their life in Copenhagen is filled with school, food shortages, and the Nazi soldiers marching through town. When the Jews of Denmark are "relocated," Ellen moves in with the Johansens and pretends to be one of the family. Soon Annemarie is asked to go on a dangerous mission to save Ellen's life. The assignment was to interview a character from Number The Stars. Vashaune chose to interview the main character in the book, Annemarie. After summarizing the plot,  he created questions that he thought would be interesting to ask the protagonist, Annemarie. Next, he answered those questions from Annemarie's perspective. He completed this assignment in interview format. Here is his good work! 

Number The Stars by Lois Lowry is a wonderful book, recommended for students in grade 3-5. Vashaune, who says he doesn't enjoy reading, rates Number The Stars a 3 out of 5! Beowulf ~ Review

They were having a party and Grendel showed up and started killing people. The king was saying fight me, Grendel, and then Grendel went away. Then Beowulf comes. Grendel shows up again and Beowulf starts to fight him and Beowulf kills Grendel.

Then Beowulf went to find Grendel's mom to kill her but he did not kill her because she asked for a son and Beowulf gave her one and she said "I will make a deal with you if you give a son. I will make you king." She cursed the king to fall off a cliff.

Beowulf became king and got old. He went to war and he said to the man, "kill me." Then he said, "the reason you can't kill me is because I died many years ago."

They had another party, and the horn came back and Beowulf asked where it was found. The man said "on the moors" and Beowulf smacked it out of his hands.

Beowulf went to see the demon to fight her and she had the dragon fight. The dragon came. Beowulf fought the dragon and cut out its heart. The dragon goes into his human form and the dragon calls Beowulf his father and dies.

Beowulf dies from the battle. Then the demon chooses the next king.

I liked reading Beowulf. I enjoyed the entire story. I didn't like when Beowulf died. I give the story Beowulf 4 stars!
